About

I work exclusively in the medium of watercolour, which I feel allows me the freedom, and transparency I need to capture the essence and spirit of a place and importantly, the elusive quality of – light.

My main subject matter is ‘wildness’ depicting the seeming tangle of nature!
This is why I’m constantly drawn back to ancient and historical places particularly with forestation.

I desire to focus on capturing the heart and spirit of a place, creating impressions of reality and giving a sense of tranquillity, always attempting to involve the viewer and – inviting him to step in or even pass through my painting.

My inspiration can come from many sources – simple reflections in puddles distinctive shafts of light through trees or the dazzle of sunlight dancing on water.

I am passionate about what I do and strive to pass this on through my work.
